what about the time zones? when its 8 oclock in florida, its 5 in california. but i heard that american idol is on at 8 in cali so how does that work?

    it is taped at 5 cali time so that it is live at 8 on florida time then it is shown on tv in cali at 8.

    It’s live only in the Eastern and Central time zones. The rest of the country watches it on tape.
