Very prompt service from Amazon – Ordered on Thursday before 6 pm arrived Saturday morning before 10am – standard delivery! TV looks excellent – my Mum has a sheltered flat and TV size is brilliant – looks excellent in piano black. Very simple to set up – my husband and self in joint effort – linked to Sky satelite and also connected to video recorder – no problems at all. Brilliant picture and sound. Mum is very pleased with it (having been nervous about the changeover). The Panasonic remotes are very straightforward – even for an 88 year ancient and simple to read in black with large numbers/text. (Had bought a Panasonic last year and was very pleased with it – both times had whittled it down to either Sony or Panasonic – not much in it – chose to stick with Panasonic as it makes it simpler troubleshooting if Mum has any problems!) Main reason for buying Panasonic was that Mum had an ancient one which lasted a long time – was still OK when we got rid of it and the picture was fantastic although smaller screen.

I really like the sound and picture quality of this TV set.

But I do not like the space in the EPG that is reserved for an advertisement. Although if you do not leave the set on stand-by overnight and do not type in your postcode on set up then the adverts will not load into this space. Also if you wish to read subtitles during a programme then the picture size will over-ride to wide aspect even when this is inappropriate. Notwithstanding these gripes the set is enjoyable to watch with a nice clear picture, really excellent colour balance and brilliant sound quality.

Amazon as usual delivered the goods very quickly and well packaged.

It arrived this morning and with ‘help’ from my toddler it was up and running within 30 minutes. Needed a magnetic screwdriver to fix the stand – but simple all the same. Set up was automatic and even in a poor freeview area I have now got a superb picture and more channels than I had using my ancient tv/freeview box. I was a bit nervous about spending this kind of money on an LCD TV but I’m so glad I did. Brilliant TV :-)

I bought the TV from Amazon and was provided with a delivery date. It was delivered earlier than expected, and would have been brilliant service, but I was not in, and therefore had to request another delivery date. As to the TV itself I am very satisfied with it, and would recommend it to others.Panasonic TX-L26X10B 26-inch Widescreen HD Ready LCD TV with Freeview

Needed to replace an ailing CRT TV. Although we can receive Freeview, I understood that we’d need to replace the aerial. Chose to buy a decent TV, and just watch the analogue channels until we’d saved up enough to buy a FreeSat dish and PVR box.

Installation was very simple – the most hard bit was fitting the pedestal. A ‘magnetic’ screwdriver is a real asset here. Tuning was automatic – and it found Freeview channels as well as the analogue ones! The signal strength is clearly not the best, but the TV seems to cope OK. I had to manually tune a couple of channels to pick up Five but that was also simple to do following the manual.

The FreeSat option is now on hold – we’ll stick with Freeview for the time being.

Throughly recommended – a fantastic TV with a first-rate picture and very excellent sound quality.
