What Type Of Tv Is Best Suited To Use As A Computer Monitor To Play Computer Games On?

What type of tv is best suited for use as a computer screen for playing games. Does the graphics look fantastic on the tv or better on a computer monitor? What are the pros and cons of using a tv as a computer monitor for computer games? Is there a blur on the tv screen just like when you go the mouse too quickly on a computer monitor?

No TV has better resolution than an average monitor.
HDTV is pitiful resolution compared to the average computer.
To place it in context- regular US tv (NTSC) is 640×480 (which is why that used to be the computer normal resolution). HDTV’s more like 1024×768 (it’s not that, but it’s something near).
My computer’s running at 1600×1200. No TV will come close to that resolution.

I reckon it would be an HDTV. From what I know LCD is as effective as Plazma. They come in all kinds of sizes and are very affordable now for use as a PC monitor. You can also just buy a digital LCD monitor and probably save a few bucks.
You have to check the specifications of the TV’s to see which has better graphis capabilities. If you are not familiar with choosing a digital LCD monitor or HDTV you should not rush into buying one, but as a general rule, the more expensive it is usually you will be getting a better graphic quality tv / monitor..
Yea you will probably still see a blur on the TV screen the same as on a computer monitor, unless you upgrade your graphics on your PC with the best graphic card you can afford. I would guess some of the pro’s and con’s of using a TV as a monitor are:
viewing distance – you will be further away with a TV
Pretty much everthing else as far as pro and con depend on what you buy. The more you are able to afford a top quality TV with excellent refresh rate, response time, pixil density, and contrast ratio the better game playing you will have and delight in.

i would recommended a 1080p HD LCD TV. 1080p is the highest resolution you can get on a tv and LCD gives you a nice picture without getting burn in like plasma. But a monitor is always better because it offers higher resolution. For games this means that you will get better detail. There might be a blur when you go your mouse but this mostly depends on the quality of the tv.

a computer monitor will always provide you better resolution and a clearer picture when hooked up to a computer, than a TV. That said, if you really want to hook up to something other than a monitor, look for an LCD tv, or an HD CRT TV. Avoid plasma because of the burn in that *will* occur with games and standing images.

You should look into getting an LCD with a response time of 8ms or less. A TV and a monitor are basically the same thing except the TV is larger then the monitor.
