Why Wont Bbc Iplayer Stream On My Computer?

Here’s all the fact’s I know. When I load a program, no video box appears at all, it’s just the background of the website, no loading screen, nothing.
I am in the UK, I have flash player 10 installed, Java Script enabled, Real Player is up to date and ITV player is working. I’m on Windows XP.
I also can’t download the BBC iPlayer desktop thing either. Can anyone figure out what is incorrect?

    Your computer settings might not allow pop-ups (such as the iPlayer)
    Check your anti virus/any spyware program to see if that’s the case.
    Also if you have a Firewall disable it when you want to watch BBC iPlayer.
