Why Would A New Computer Disconnect Other Computers From Vpn Connection?

When I’m working from home, I use one computer to connect to my work’s VPN. I recently got a new Vista computer for my home to replace my ancient XP tower. Now, whenever I boot up the Vista computer my work computer gets disconnected from the VPN. Why would the Vista computer be interfering with the VPN connection and are there any settings that I can change to prevent this problem?
Any information about the computer that you need just question.
